Lucky’s Bakehouse Café is situated across the parking lot from the bakery. Under the same ownership, the café utilizes the same mentality of providing health-conscious, diverse, and delicious fare to Boulder residents. Lucky’s savory comfort foods hit the spot for neighborhood residents, and the locale’s dishes have helped the restaurant become a culinary staple of the area for over 20 years.

Wonderland Lake is the area’s central natural green space making up the Wonderland Hills community. This vast expanse of preservation land combines open prairies and foothills to create an idyllic scene of serenity and peace. Wonderland Lake Trailhead loops easily around the lake, with access to several other trails leading into the mountains. Regardless of skill level, hikers can enjoy the area’s trails. Wonderland Lake also boasts a children’s playground and a beach ideal for lounging, fishing, relaxing, or watching paragliders and hang-gliders as they launch from Wonderland Hill.

Another fantastic way to access the mountain trails near North Boulder is through Foothills Community Park. This 65-acre park provides locals with abundant recreational amenities, including playgrounds, basketball courts, in-line hockey rinks, soccer fields, multi-use sports fields, a pickleball court, multi-use paths, and several covered shelters. The park also features several interactive activities for children that stimulate and encourage natural play, such as a polar sundial, a rock wall, and art installations in the playground and along sidewalks.

Foothills Community Park is also home to one of Wonderland residents’ favorite dog parks, the Foothills Off-Leash Dog Park. The park is separated into two sections, so small and large dogs can play while owners enjoy the gorgeous views. Water fountains and covered picnic tables are available in each area, making this dog park an excellent place for a meetup with your pups.
